Why have a Residents area at Bowhunting.Net? 
Bowhunters are spread all over the web. They are on servers in their home town, or hidden in the middle of thousands of other home pages -- with url addresses that are long and hard to remember, let alone type right!. There is no neighborhood (that is bowhunters only) to put your home page so that other bowhunters can find you. And you do want other bowhunters to find you, don't you? Well, now they can. Right here!

 HTML Personal Home Pages  What If I  don't know how to make a HTML page? 
To build your HTML Home Page Residence you will have to know how to create your own pages in HTML format. If you're not knowledgeable of HTML programing and the FTP process you will have to: 
  1. Get someone else to make and upload your pages for you. 
  2. Or, learn how to HTML and FTP.
If you are not inclined to spend the time necessary to learn HTML then we still want you to have a Bowhunting.Net Residence and you are welcome to create your own EZ Home Page Residence. 

What will my url be? 
Your url is easy to figure. It is http://www.bowhunting.net/residents/yourname 
with "yourname" being the name you tell us you want to list your site under (maximum of 21 characters). 

Is my content limited to bowhunting? 
No it is not. You have other interests in your life and they are welcome here as are picture of your family or people you know. It rounds out your pages. 

Content Guidelines: What is personal Content? What isn't? 
Personal content is stuff about you. Your interests, comments, stories, family, friends are welcome content, and of course, your bowhunting life. 

  • This is a Family Site and is accessible by all ages:  men and women as well boys and girls. Comments, graphics, and links to or about material that is not appropriate for family viewing are not welcome here.
Content Guidelines: What isn't? 
  • This is not a program for you to make a free business site or promote a business. We have several programs for businesses, from very cost affordable ones where you maintain your business site to full blown contracts where we manage your web presence.
  • Commercial Links, Banners and Logos. If you want to use TEXT links to commercial sites that is ok. But we ask that you DO NOT use commercial banners and logos that link to Commercial sites. Email us for information.
How Big Can My Site Be? 
We don't have a limit. Use what it takes to build the home you want to have on the web.

 How do I get my own free, HTML Personal Residence 
Email us at residents2@bowhunting.net. Tell us: 
  • who you are 
  • the name you want for your directory. 
    • Your directory name will be the last part of your url. For example, if your name was Jim Johnson and you wanted your url to be www.bowhunting.net/residents/porcupine -- tell us "porcupine". If you wanted your url to be your name -- tell us "jimjohnson". 
  • Briefly describe what your site or page will be about.
  • Email us the above information at residents2@bowhunting.net.

Once a name is taken it is gone. Two people can't have the same url. 

Creating and Updating your HTML Residence 
When we receive your email we will create your directory and email you that it is ready. The email will include your FTP address for you to upload your files. Update it as often as you like. 


Bowhunting.Net reserves the right to remove without explaination any site in the Bowhunting.Net Residents Area that is commercial in nature. As well as any site which has content or links we feel are lewd, vulgar or offensive.
